For Non Riders

Non riding activities

For your time off horseback, the area offers a variety of activities you can pick from. You can rent a car for very competitive rates from somewhere like Oscar. The region offers so many possibilities; you might find it hard to stay just one week. It’s also the perfect place for a family consisting of riders and non-riders alike – you are sure to find joy and relaxation for all family members and interests.

If you love swimming and sunbathing, Karaot beach is the closest place to go, only 900m as the bird flies from the ranch. Enjoy the sunset from the cliffs overlooking the neighbouring bays and islands. Calis beach and Ölüdeniz also offer a long sandy beach with sunbeds and with many restaurants and small shops. Close to Yaniklar, you find Günlüklü Bay, which has a beach club with a restaurant and sunbeds. A little further after Fethiye, Kuleli Beach Club offers similar joy with a different view. Kuleli, Boncuklu and Gemiler Bay are especially beautiful for snorkelling. If you are lucky, you will see the turtles (carettas) in the sea.

Fishing is possible from the cliffs, as well as from the many boats offering half-day or day trips around the bays and islands, allowing you a different perspective onto this paradisiac place.

The Saklikent Canyon and neighbouring Gizlikent are well worth the drive – be prepared to get wet! A mud bath at Saklikent is believed to have health-boosting properties to make you look and feel younger.

For those seeking to raise their level of adrenaline, why not go out for kite surfing (Kitesurfing School in Calis or paragliding in Ölüdeniz (see for details and booking)?

If you love history, don’t miss to visit the historic ghost town of Kayaköy or the ruins of Tlos.

For night activities, Göcek and Fethiye both offer excellent restaurants along the marina (e.g. Hilmi in Fethiye). Hisarönü is well known for its streets full of pubs and clubs.

And when all your muscles feel sore after a long day of riding, why not to relax in the hot steam of one of the Turkish baths (Hamam) and enjoy a soap massage afterwards? You’ll feel newly born.
